Owlison (Great Horned Owl)
Owlison was admitted to Bird Treatment and Learning Center (Bird TLC) in Anchorage with a fracture of the right wrist bones and a wound on her keel (chest area). We believe that there was also damage to the tendons and ligaments in that wing. She is capable of flight, but not well enough to survive in the wild. Owlison was placed at a facility in Ketchikan, Alaska and lived there for many years before being transferred to the Alaska Raptor Center.
