Justice was admitted to the Juneau Raptor Center (JRC) as an adult in April 2000 with injuries to his beak and right eye. It is believed these injuries were sustained during a fight with another eagle. Ultimately, his eye could not be repaired, and he was left with complete blindness on that side. Due to depth perception issues, he was deemed non-releaseable. He was transferred to ARC in 2022 when JRC shut down.

Being a tiny male, Justice is a favorite for his trainers. He is no longer asked to work on the glove but will go to the scale and take bits of food from the hand.
