Our Birds

These birds live full-time at the Alaska Raptor Center. They are birds that cannot return to the wild because of lasting injuries, but they still have an important job to do.

These eagles, hawks, owls, and other raptors help visitors learn about the challenges wild birds face such as habitat loss and injuries caused by humans. Through close-up encounters and fun, informative programs, the ambassadors help people connect with Alaska’s amazing bird life and better understand why protecting them matters.
