Alaska Raptor Center-Reviews

The Alaska Raptor Center is nationally recognized for its ongoing rehabilitation and education efforts. Through the years, the Center has received several distinguished awards:

American Automobile Association (AAA)

After a careful inspection for quality and visitor service, AAA, the nation's largest travel organization, lists the Center as a "recommended attraction."

Family Circle Magazine

We were recognized by this popular magazine as one of its Top 25 "Meaningful Gifts to Give" in its December 12, 2000 issue. Family Circle chose gifts that, it says, "won’t cost you millions, but will certainly make you feel like a million bucks." The Center received a large number of new raptor adoptions in early 2001 as a result of this media exposure.

Sitka Chamber of Commerce

Alaska Raptor Center received the "Business of the Year" award from the Sitka Chamber of Commerce for our ongoing efforts to promote responsible and educational tourism in Sitka.

Alaska Journal of Commerce

Alaska Raptor Center’s Executive Director was named one of Alaska’s "Top 40 Under 40" executives by the Alaska Journal of Commerce for her outstanding leadership in managing the Alaska Raptor Center.
