Solstice Through The Inside Passage
Shorten one long Alaskan night.
Lengthen the lives of Alaska's wild birds.
Our annual Solstice Charity Event was held here at the Raptor Center on Saturday, November 15, 2008.
Friends of the Alaska Raptor Center came aboard and gathered in the Grand Ballroom of the AK Princess Raptoram of the Sea for an evening of music, entertainment, auctions, laughter and the best fine dining since the Osterdam anchored offshore!
In addition and the best part was that all of the proceeds benefit the Alaska Raptor Center and the ongoing efforts to treat and rehabilitate Alaska's wild birds. Benefits will provide medical treatment to 100-200 patients each year, teach 40,000 visitors and 15,000 schoolchildren nationwide through educational programs and by offering FREE school programs for all of Sitka's schoolchildren.
